Create, adapt and schedule a post
Write one post, adapt it for each network with its own limits and preview, add media, then publish now, schedule it, or save it as a draft.
Every post starts in Create post. You choose where it goes, write it once, adjust it for each network, and then publish it, schedule it or keep it as a draft.
1. Choose channels
- Select Create post at the top of the sidebar.
- Select Choose channels. Pick individual channels, or select the + beside a group to add all of its channels.
A post needs at least one channel before you can write it. A channel that needs reconnecting is shown in the list but cannot be picked until it is reconnected.
2. Write the post
Write the main text in the editor. Every channel you picked uses this shared text until you give it a version of its own.
The channels you picked show as avatars above the editor. Select a channel's avatar for three actions:
- Write a version for this channel gives that channel its own text, for example a shorter version for X. Once it has one, the item reads Edit this channel's version, and Back to the shared post returns it to the shared text.
- Preview shows how the post will look on that network.
- Remove takes the channel off this post.
The counter measures the text against the tightest limit among the channels you picked, counted in each network's own unit: weighted characters for X (a link counts as 23, emoji and Chinese, Japanese or Korean characters as two), graphemes for Bluesky, and characters for the rest. It shows a number once you are in the last fifth of that limit. A version over its network's limit is flagged, so you can shorten it before scheduling.
3. Add media and extras
- Images and video: add them from your computer or from Files. Each network has its own limits (X takes up to four images, Instagram up to ten in a carousel, TikTok one video). The composer only offers what the network accepts.
- Title: YouTube posts have a title field of their own.
- Threads of posts: on X and Threads you can add more posts to form a thread or reply chain.
- Poll: X posts can carry a poll.
- First comment: on Facebook and Instagram you can add a comment that is posted right after the post goes live.
- Alt text: add a description to images on networks that support it (X, LinkedIn and Bluesky).

4. Check the preview
The preview beside the editor shows the post as it will look on each network, with a tab per network to switch between them. Check each one, especially where a version was shortened or an image may be cropped. The tabs are for looking; to change a channel's text, use its avatar above the editor.
5. Publish, schedule or save
The bar at the bottom of the composer has the time on the left and the actions on the right:
- Schedule: select Pick a time, choose the day and time, and the main button becomes Schedule. The time picker names the time zone it uses.
- Publish now: with no time picked, the main button publishes immediately.
- Save draft: keeps the post without scheduling it. Find it later under Posts.
- Add to queue: in the menu beside the main button, saves the post as queued so you can give it a time later.
If an action cannot go ahead, for example because a version is too long, the reason is shown next to the buttons with the step that fixes it.
After you schedule
- The post appears on the calendar under Posts, where you can switch between day, week and month and drag a post to another day to reschedule it.
- Open a post to see each channel's status: scheduled, published or failed.
- To change a scheduled post, open it and edit. Changes apply to channels that have not published yet.
Drafts are saved as you go
If the composer closes before you save, for example because a tab was closed, reopening Create post offers to restore the interrupted draft or discard it.
Plan limits
Each plan includes a number of scheduled posts a month (10 on the free Basic plan, 150 on Pro). When that limit is reached, new scheduling stops, but posts that are already scheduled still publish.
Posts to X also count toward a monthly X allowance (5 on Basic, 30 on Pro, 60 on Ultra), which resets on the first day of each calendar month, in UTC. The X allowance is checked again when a post is sent, so a scheduled X post that goes out after the allowance is spent fails with Plan limit reached, even though it was accepted when you scheduled it. A workspace that connects its own X developer app is not limited by the allowance.
